Bio pending.
My name is Lori Mirelez, and I am proud to be running for the Hyland Hills Board of Directors. As a lifelong resident, I’ve experienced firsthand the incredible programs and opportunities our district provides—first as a child and now as an active community member. My husband, Glenn, and I love calling this community home, and we’re enjoying life with our newest family member, our puppy, Gertie.
I previously served on the Board of Directors from 2014 to 2022, an experience that deepened my passion for ensuring Hyland Hills continues to serve its residents with excellence. My commitment is to uphold the district’s financial responsibility, advocate for the needs of our community, and support the dedicated staff who make our parks and recreational programs so exceptional.
I would be honored to serve once again and work to ensure Hyland Hills continues to grow and thrive for generations to come. I appreciate your support!

With over 30 years of dedication to education and community service, I am honored to run for the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District Board. My passion for parks and recreation began in high school when I worked on a summer maintenance crew in my small town, mowing and maintaining local parks. This early experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for the role parks and recreation play in strengthening communities.
As an educator, I have worked tirelessly with students of all ages, from pre-K to post-secondary, fostering learning and growth. My experiences as both a participant and a professional have given me a well-rounded understanding of the community’s needs. Living in the Hyland Hills District, my family and I have actively participated in various programs and activities, reinforcing my belief in the importance of accessibility, program improvement, and facility enhancement.
If elected, I will work collaboratively with the board, executive director and community stakeholders to make sound financial decisions that prioritize community enrichment. I am committed to expanding opportunities, improving local resources, and ensuring parks and recreation remain a pillar of our community. I would be honored to serve and make a positive impact for all residents.
I appreciate your support!
